The Twist
My proposal for Marseille’s J1 hangar: public spaces, recovered fishing nets and a vortex stair rising above water. Explore the model and interior studies.

Reusing the hangar
I designed The Twist as a public space within Marseille’s J1 hangar. The proposal keeps the industrial frame and adds a central vortex stair, bridges, suspended nets and water. People can climb, meet, watch, learn or take a route through the building.
Explore the design
The model viewer uses my sectioned Rhino file. Drag to rotate it, zoom in on the stair or scroll to separate the roof, circulation and net layers. In the section explorer, select a space to open its interior study, then return to choose another.
Developing the interiors
I used Higgsfield to develop interior studies from the model and portfolio renders. They explore lighting, materials, planting and how people might use the spaces. These are generated design images; the Rhino viewer shows the exported geometry.
Explore the work
Start with the model to see how the stair meets the water. Then open the interior studies to see how I imagine the spaces being used.

How I made the website
I explain the model export, generated imagery and browser interactions in the process note, including what I checked when a render changed the design.
