The Twist

A maritime jungle gym.

An industrial frame.
A new civic interior.
A different relationship with the sea.
01—06

Begin at the heart.

J1 hangar / morphology study from portfolio drawings

From capture
to connection.

Interpretive junction of recovered braided net, brushed metal and translucent panel

Recovered fishing nets become places to climb, rest, gather and find shade. A material once used to extract from the sea becomes an invitation to return to it.

01 / Rest + gather

The mesh becomes a shared surface: a place to pause, watch and occupy the hangar together.

Drag to pull / release to settle
Conceptual tension study

The sea,
within reach.

Suspended routes, public edges and a water-based obstacle course reconnect the city with its harbour. Participation can mean climbing, watching, learning or simply being here.

A regenerative civic cycle

Fishers, divers and community clean-ups retrieve discarded nets.
